Church of God National Women’s Convention
October 16 - 19, 2008

The 2008 Church of God National Women’s Convention will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at the Amway Grand Hotel and Convention Center on October 16-19, 2008. The theme, “In Christ we...lead, learn, live, laugh and love” is based upon Acts 17:28a. “For in him we live and move and have our being.” Many women will experience conferences and sessions led by some of the most gifted speakers from the Church of God movement. Among others, sessions will be led by Jeannette Flynn, Kingdom Ministry Team Director of the Church of God Ministries; Diana Swoope, acclaimed speaker, author and minister; Mary Ann Garcia, writer, professor and co-pastor at Ministries Iglesia de Dios in Caguas, Puerto Rico; Arnetta McNeese Bailey, Executive Director of Women of the Church of God and founder and Executive Director of Priscilla’s Lost and Found, a faith based mentoring program; Gilbert Stafford, Professor Emeritus of Christian Theology and Director of the Doctor of Ministry Studies Program at Anderson University School of Theology; Ella Johnson Bass, ordained minister and award winning master teacher of theater at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts; and Mandy Mobley Bohm, nationally recognized soloist, vocal coach, guest speaker and worship leader.

It is an honor and privilege for our state to have been chosen to house such a wonderful event. Nearly 2000 women are expected to attend, arriving from all over the United States. The Convention has previously been held in Kentucky, N. Carolina, New Mexico, Washington, Florida and Tennessee; but never so close to the Great Lakes region. It affords the rare opportunity for many who have never had the privilege to attend such a fantastic celebration.

The registration is $150 per person and the rooms are $120 per night, regardless of the occupancy (up to 4 per room). The national offices of the Women of the Church of God will be sending further information in January. Begin now to make plans to attend!
