State Women’s Convention was held at the
Lexington Hotel in Lansing on April 23-24, 2010
Michigan Wosmen of the Church of God is sponsoring a State Women’s Convention at the Lexington Hotel in Lansing on April 23-24, 2010. This year’s theme is “Women Sent Promptly by God” based on John 20:21, “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you’.” All women and teen girls are invited to participate in this great event.
We are privileged to have Rev. Dr. Kimberly Majeski, professor of Biblical Studies at the Anderson University School of Theology as our speaker. Kimberly challenges listeners to find the life-transforming connection between their personal story and the inspiring, ancient story of the Scriptures. As conference speaker, women’s retreat leader, Bible teacher, and pastor, Kimberly captivates audiences with her ability to exposit Biblical truths through storytelling that is engaging, transparent, and uplifting.
This would be a great opportunity to provide a scholarship to attend for some teen girls from your congregation. Along with our main sessions, the availability of four workshops covering different aspects of interest to women today will be presented. Your registration fee per person ($90=4 to a room) will include your hotel room, Friday evening banquet, Saturday breakfast and luncheon and all your sessions.
If you do not regularly receive mailings from Michigan Women of the Church of God and would like more information regarding the state convention, please contact Connie Conn at 989-875-3237 or e-mail jcconn@verizon.net.
