Dear General Assembly Member:

Several years ago the General Assembly approved a ratification process which the Business Committee follows to construct the ballot. This process is used during the annual meeting.

For the ratification process to be truly representative and inclusive, we need your help. The Vice-Chair needs to be voted on for the General Assembly. The following Ministries/Committees have positions available for ratification this year: Board of Directors, Church Health, Credentials, Pastoral Health, Youth, Audit Committee, and Business Committee. We would like you to recommend lay persons and clergy who would fit these positions, with a couple of sentences explaining why you are recommending them. Be sure to include the person(s) name, address, telephone, and e-mail with your recommendation comments. You may also recommend yourself for ministries for which you are gifted, interested, and passionate. When we receive your responses by mail, e-mail, or fax (517-393-7607) we will contact those persons asking them if they would be willing to be included in our pool of gifted and interested candidates. We will evaluate and select persons for this year's ballot from the pool of persons.

With your recommendations, we are confident we will broaden the leadership base of the Church of God in Michigan and discover new, quality leaders across the state.

We need your recommendations returned to the Service Center by April 21, 2011, the Business Committee is meeting April 28. This provides time for us to make contacts and use the recommendations for the ballot process. Thank you for your immediate attention to this task.
